Hello Friends!
I am leaving tonight for El Salvador to do some relief work with my dad.
We will be visiting kids in impoverished areas with a group called compassion international. They will be helping to sponsor my dad's book tour this summer and are hoping that in return he will help to gain 100 new people to sponsor children in third world. So, they thought that he should see first hand what it is like in a poor country like that, dad asked if I could come along, they said yes, we got a passport and all of the required shots and immunizations, a plane ticket and we're set. This is a big trip for me (even though it isn't long, I'll be back on Friday) because it is my first time ever out of the USA, I am a little bit nervous but mostly I am very excited. I'll have a chance to help kids in another country, I'll get to meet a lot of people, I'll get to practice my spanish and learn a lot about the culture in El Salvador.
I promise to bring back lots of stories of my adventures!
